Osama Bin Laden: A Profile in Terror

Last week (Wednesday, 7/27), I published the first of what will probably be a total of three, perhaps four, installments of a fascinating series done in 2001 by 13D Research, Inc. As mentioned in last week's introduction, 13D (Boca Raton, FL and Ketchum, ID) turns out absolutely superior, cutting-edge work.

The series in question was written in 2001, started before 9/11, and it was authored under the umbrella title of, The World's Greatest Threat: Islamic Fundamentalists. Last week's installment was exceptionally well received, as I think this one also will be.

I extend my sincere thanks to friend and client, Kiril Sokoloff, President of 13D, for granting his permission to republish some of this excellent, highly prescient series. For those not familiar with the firm's material, I think you will see why it is so highly regarded after reading the article presented here. The current installment is entitled, Osama Bin Laden: A Profile In Terror. It was originally published on 9/17/01, six days after 9/11.

Like the piece presented last week, the current offering has withstood the test of time exceptionally well, as you will see as you read it. In some respects, this series makes better reading now, almost three years after the fact, than it did in the immediate, highly emotional proximity to 9/11. Events unfolding since then now put a good deal of the material in a clearer light. I point out, of course, that not all the views expressed in this material necessarily reflect those of Gillespie Research Associates.
