Reality Check -- URL -- > http://www.safehaven.com/article/29739/reality-check
A "Reality Check" is many things for me as a financial analyst and asset manager. Important "Reality" questions to be answered before making any - Buy / Sell / Hold or Hold-Cash decision to take any security positions.
Incorrect answers to these questions always provides (in 20/20 hind-sight) the perfect (hind-sight) answer to WHY losses and disappointment are so prevalent in today's stock market.
There is so much (Un-True / Mis-Leading / Etc.) information being promulgated / published by Wall Street, the Media, Bloggers as well as many Financial Analysts / Asset Managers that is necessary to spend much of yours and my time (too much of our time) sorting it all out.
For further insight into my work / analytics, you may want to read a posted Article I first wrote many years ago: The URL is: http://www.safehaven.com/article/27442/my-shb-cycle-a-brief-explanation-of-this-pillar-of-my-methodology
Separating the currently "Favorable" from the "Un-Favorable" (see my Personal Blog for my Forecasts and Opinions) Companies / ETFs. It is really is not all that difficult a task - it just takes A LOT of time, patience and discipline. Like in all things, some perform this task better than others do!
In my work / analytics, I maintain two lists, one for Bullish Candidates for Buying-Covering ("Favorable") and one for Bearish Candidates (Un-Favorable") for Selling / Shorting. On those lists, there is my "Best of the Best" - Buys and the "Worst of the Worst" - Shorts to focus on. You might smile when I say: "my Selection Job becomes quite simple at Bullish or Bearish Inflection Points!"
Forecasting -- URL -- > http://www.safehaven.com/article/29740/forecasting-to-insure-profits
Forecasting is also becomes quite simple once you do the daily task, over and over again for many years. Being consistently profitable begins with "F" - Accurate Forecasting and Analytic Procedures (Well Honed: Fundamental - Valuation, Technical - Analytics and Consensus - Opinion.) When you add my "C" - "Confirmation" work, it ends with consistently "PR" - Profitable Results. (F / C = PR)
My most recent Company and Supporting articles have been posted right here in SafeHaven.com.
You might want to re-read these articles for the Accuracy of all my Forecasts for some of these Companies. The above (F / C = PR) is as Accurate and Profitable - formula works perfectly on any security. Try me Privately!
All Companies and ETFs "Rotate" (or "Cycle" if you prefer) From Favorable to Un-Favorable then back to Favorable again. You should be well aware of this if you have Invested in the stock market over the years. Profits can be consistent and I have developed excellent analytics to pre-determine the percent and probable "Profitable Results." Try me Privately!
Apple, Inc -- Buy / Sell / Hold or Hold Cash? - Current Opinion
In the process of Accurate Forecasting, for me is a one-two-three proposition. The Old - Buy / Sell / Hold or Hold Cash? - Question is and remains - alive and well.
However, if you are still "Rolling the Dice" or investing in Mutual Funds that continue to "roll the dice" then you are not getting the advice or the "PR - Profitable Results" you deserve.
My near-term and longer-term Forecast for Apple, Inc. is currently not nearly as bright as most financial analysts / asset managers are publishing. My current and I believe correct answer to the question of (Buy / Sell / Hold or Hold Cash?) for Apple, Inc. is: Definitely -- Hold-Cash with my Strong Bearish "Warning" still in Place...
The Professors - Report Card on: Apple, Inc. (AAPL)

Grade & Direction: (0 - 100 / A - F).

|Apple, Inc. (AAPL)||Poor --
My Valuation for GApple is Negative.
My Technical Analytics is also Negative.
I would recommend Holding-Cash on what may be another near-term bounce-rally.
Consensus is always overly optimistic.
It is a poor but necessary guide to Investing your money Wisely.
|72 / C- -- Descending.|
My weighted Fundamental, Technical and Consensus Opinion ratings range from Excellent to Very Poor. Grades below 90 / A are not current (never are) candidates for buying. Grades above 60 / F are not current (never are) candidates for short selling. Information and data are ever changing, so be alert. Every companies "Grade" can from a neutral grade (60 to 90 / D to B) to a buy (greater than 90) or short sale (less than 60) in a very short time.
The twenty-year chart is offered to give you a perspective. "Perspective" is yet another tool for making money that is seldom employed.
My article here in SafeHaven.com on "My Rotation Model" supports the above notes.
Upon request I will provide you a personal Email with my specific (WHEN) recommendation as to how and when to Sell (if you haven't already), Apple, Inc. I believe that (AAPL) will be - or - is peaking again in the near-term (one or so months). My historic Forecasting accuracy is within a couple / few percent.

The Stock Market is definitely alive but not well. It has become "INTENSE" and largely "BIFURCATED" in the past year or so. That means many Companies have had their wheels fall off while others are speeding along just fine. I can help you identify "blow-outs" and when you are about to be "blind-sided" - I hope you will want to visit.
Never before has the Stock Market been so Intense, Bifurcated, Fragile and Emotional. To be profitable, you must now have a proven Methodology in place and an experienced Financial Analyst / Asset Manager offering frequent and personal guidance and direction. Nearly, constant personalized communications has become - "A Must."
I am Forecasting a Near-Term (one month - plus) Rally.
I'm the guy that recently called the Top of Gold/Silver, Apple, Inc, and the Japanese Market. There have also been and a number of other High Profile Companies over the past six months or so. Check my SafeHaven.com archive for proof. I am the same guy who has published for you my "Investment Basics." It is a 36 week / lesson course that you might consider. (Please see the Side Bar to the right here in SafeHaven.com).
Mutual Funds are a thing of the past because they totally captivate you and your money. They are also grossly over-charging with all their combined fees. Before mutual funds, (were invented) serious Investors used private Investment Advisors. Impressive profits were realized because unlike mutual funds they were never so diversified that mediocre profits, if any were common-place.
