Subject:Sir John Templeton

When I first got into the business I was young naïve and confused by which way would be the safest way to invest.  At the time, I worked for a dedicated investment company and we not able to sell other investments. Now I always have an inquisitive mind and found out about John Templeton through some colleagues.

Well so one hot summer I made my way to his annual conference and listened to the John Templeton story. After being impressed I wanted to meet the man while in conversation I mentioned to him I work for a competitor. Would you believe he spent the next hour answering my questions on investing styles and so forth. All the while, he knew I could not sell his products.

He had a profound effect on my views on global investing and contrarian thinking along with keeping an open mind. The whole time he spoke with class and respect never did he speak down to me.

He understood the dangers of debt; he understood what it means to live within your means. He understood and lived to walk his talk. And most of all he lead a complete life.

Thank you Mr. Templeton

May you rest in peace..

Joseph
